BlueCross is a leading provider of private aged care. Since 1993, BlueCross has provided a wide variety of flexible and responsive aged care services in metropolitan and regional Victoria.
We are dedicated to helping seniors live the best possible lives, whether they need residential care or in-home support. There are 32 aged care homes in Victoria that we currently manage, serving more than 2600 residents as well as over 1000 clients who live in their own homes. BlueCross is supported by more than 4000 dedicated e-supporters.
A proud history
1993:BlueCross was founded with its first aged care residence at Toorak (BlueCross Darnlee).
1998-2000 Period for growth, with the acquisition 10 additional homes
2003: Sapphire holdings Group purchased Sheridan Hall Brighton, their first residence for the elderly.
2006:BlueCross entered the home care industry following a 43% investment in Sapphire Holdings Group
2007: BlueCross purchased 3rd Age. This company added six homes and Commonwealth home care packages.
2018: BlueCross has merged with Sapphire Care. This combined means that the total number of homes in 2018 has risen from 23 to 32
August 2019,Sapphire Care has rebranded to BlueCross employees, and hundreds of volunteers.
