Coburg Districts Football Club

The Coburg Districts Football Club is an Australian rules football club. They participate with the Essendon District Football League.
We are located on Melbourne, in the Melbourne suburb of PascoeVale, Melbourne Australia.
Coburg Districts Football Club had its beginnings in 1951 when the club was formed as the Batman Football Club, competing several times in the Northern Metropolitan Football League Club. The year 1981 saw the Club’s name changed in the form of Coburg Districts and entry into the Essendon District Football League. The Club has a rich heritage that includes several of the original families involved in the running of the club.
With the continued growth of population within The Inner North, the Club currently has teams of male, female, as well as girls’ football squads. In addition to the variety of teams Auskick is also available for children to gain a basic understanding of football.
With the backing by The EDFL, AFL, Moreland City Council and the unwavering dedication from our members, the Club takes pride in providing an environment that is inclusive for everyone to play. We welcome participants and new players as long as they adhere by our Code of Conduct policy.
Generations of families from the past are making their own history here at Cole Reserve.
In the beginning, there were Junior and Senior teams within the Essendon District Football League (EDFL) from 1981 until 1987. Due to the lack of players from the junior ranks at the Club during the 1987 season. the EDFL declared that the Club should cease to be part of the Essendon League from season 1988.
The Club then began to seek affiliation with the Footscray District Football League (FDFL) which is now called the Western Region Football League (WRFL).
The club was able to claim the FDFL Premiership in 1988.
With the true Lions style, the year 2013 the club returned into their home league, Essendon District Football League where it continues to play today.
The Club has a rich heritage that includes several of the families that founded it still involved in the management of the club.
With the continued growth of population within The Inner North, the Club currently has teams of boys, girls, and girl’s football clubs. To complement the range of teams Auskick is also available for children to get a better understanding of football.
With the help by members of the EDFL, AFL, Moreland City Council and the unwavering dedication from our members, the Club takes pride in providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all to be a part of. We welcome new players and members who abide by our Code of Conduct policy.
Families from new generations are making their own story here at Cole Reserve.
