Francis Winifred was founded in 2016 by husband-and-wife couple James Perez and Daniela Perez. The cafe’s name is derived from its location at the intersection of Francis & Winfred Streets in Oak Park; the cafe is an excellent addition to an area that’s lacking in cozy, high-end restaurants.
The once-child’s party center has since been transformed into a central place to meet that is called by many as a hidden gem in the city that has a great atmosphere!
The modest exterior of the building hides the vast interior that was totally renovated to make it contemporary and easy to access while keeping its authenticity and charm and even incorporating the original Terrazzo flooring.
The menu for breakfast and lunch can be tailored to suit all tastes and preferences, with a particular accent on seasonal and local food items, served to All Press Specialty coffee. The menu also pays homage at James’ Spanish and Daniela’s Macedonian roots, as well as a variety of classic cafe dishes. Francis Winifred is also licenced and you can have the Chardy or cold beer with your loved ones or family.
We offer a variety of delectable options, including platters and finger food, sandwiches baguettes, hot food and sandwiches catering for any occasion.

Francis Winifred is a distinctive place to relax in a comfortable setting. It’s perfect for private parties that range from dinner parties as well as corporate events, birthday parties, product launches and more for up to 70 persons.
At daytime, we’re an inviting, fresh and open flowing space offering warm service, delicious fresh food and beverages. In the evening we turn the space to a cozy, relaxing atmosphere.
Our cozy wood furniture and exposed brick walls as well as lush greenery along with original tiles of terrazzo bring the warmth that guests feel when they arrive.

Join us for one of our most popular monthly Burger nights. We have a wide selection of delicious burgers available on our menu as well as a delicious dessert menu to enjoy!
We also have licences with a variety of alcohol that can be paired with any of our delightfully tasty hamburgers.
Our Burger nights are casual and enjoyable and are a hit when you are with friends and family. If you decide to keep it simple you can enjoy a night to spend with your significant other.. (hint hint) Maybe a you can have a date evening?
We accept reservations to groups of 6,8 or 10, so contact us to book tables. For smaller groups, we only allow walk-ins. Take Away is also open.
