Glenroy West Kindergarten offers an environment that is safe, nurturing and stimulating setting that encourages the development of our children through learning experiences that are based on play.
Our structured programs offer children with an opportunity to develop confidence, independence and respect for relationships. We provide the foundations for an approach to learning that is positive and we are committed to the joy, inclusion and empowerment of every child.
Glenroy West Kindergarten is an independent, family-run community kindergarten. We are proud of the diversity of families in our community and promote parents and community participation in enriching the learning environment of our children.
Learning results
In Glenroy West Kindergarten the programs we offer have been developed to be in line with what is in the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia which is belonging, being and becoming. We provide quality educational and learning experiences for every child. We place a particular concentration on learning through play and recognize the importance of language and communication to aid in the development of emotional and social.
Our program sets the highest standards for every child. The expectations are conveyed through the five outcomes of development and learning identified through the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).
The construction of our new home
Glenroy West Kindergarten is situated on the current site located at 701 Pascoe Vale Road in Glenroy since the year 2014. We are now in our own building that was purpose-built that is surrounded by a gorgeous playground and garden, that was designed by a variety of volunteer workers, community volunteers and donations.
The work bees we host provide us with the chance to improve and maintain our outdoor garden, ensuring it is a an enjoyable educational environment for our kids.
We are on the property of Meadow View Baptist Church and we would like to thank Meadow View Baptist Church for their continuous community and support.
Communication
Our staff of teachers are ready to answer your questions or provide information regarding your child’s growth and development in kindergarten. We suggest that you speak to our education team prior to or after the kindergarten session or make an appointment to talk about any concerns to ensure that we provide the proper assistance.
Here at Glenroy West Kindergarten we like to enjoy and celebrate special occasions with our kids. Please inform us of any forthcoming birthdays, or other events so that we may celebrate the occasion and participate in the adventures of your child’s.
We mainly use email communications to send out updates on kindergarten and information. You can also join our page on Facebook to check out what your child is having fun in kindergarten.
