Queens Park is a small oasis from the bustling streets close by. It is a well-known park with roses and sunken gardens , a playground and a lake.
A beautiful cottage is the center of the park thanks to beautiful surroundings and gorgeous public art works. A gravel path runs around the lake, where benches and tables for picnics are available under old-fashioned exotic trees making the lake a sanctuary for birds of all kinds. It is a lovely spot to stroll around. The southeast corner features an RSL memorial area that includes two cannons, a bench which has been sculpted, and the Aleppo Pine. The grassy area is dotted with various kinds of trees.
The south end of the park features two bocce courts, with plenty of shaded and un shaded seating. The park also has The Rotary Wishing Well as well as the high RSL Remembrance Tower. The median strip also has the Memorial Drinking Fountain by Dr J.A. Sutherland.
On the eastern side , there is an enjoyable playground and River Red Gum ecosystem around an enormous example of an eucalyptus tree, with the stepping log trails that surround it.
Its middle has an enormous pond that has water fountains that flow out of and the bottom of the lake. The wildlife is very docile however, please do not feed them because it’s dangerous for birds. At the center of the lake, there is an island. Can do you see the kangaroo posing with the football and an emu? There is a pathway through the lake, and plenty faucets to drink water. Fishing is not allowed on the lake.
The western end of the lake is a playground, as well as a cafe that has outdoor and indoor seating. Take a stroll near the cafe, as there are many pieces of artwork all over.
