Windy Hill Sports and Spinal Physiotherapy Clinic (WHSSPC) was founded in 1994 as part of the Showers Stand redevelopment at Essendon football stadium. The clinic was situated at the 86 Napier Street, until early August 2007 , when it was moved temporarily to 53 Fletcher Street in Essendon. This was done to facilitate an extensive redevelopment of the clinic at Windy Hill.
The facilities were finished in the latter part of December 2007, at the time that we moved to our new clinic on Napier Street. While our new facility is located just a few hundred metres from Napier Street from the original site of the clinic, it’s the first clinic that is brand new and has its entryway off of the foyer of the fitness centre. While we enjoy a close partnership and have a close relationship with Essendon Football Club, we are not directly affected by the move. The two facilities Windy Hill Fitness Centre and our own facilities are independent and will operate in our current location following the football team moves.
The clinic and the services it provides have been developed since 1994 through an introduction to a number of skilled and experienced professionals with complementary abilities and interests. Thus, while the clinic has a major focus on sports physiotherapy and treatment of spinal injuries We also provide an array of additional physiotherapy and complementary health services.
The ethos of our clinic is the importance of one-on-one sessions between you and your therapist. we value a high amount of explanation and instruction, that includes the emphasis of a “hands on” treatment emphasis and closely monitored exercise. We believe that one-on-one session with you crucial which is why our consultation appointments are made to accommodate this.
We also have the same collaboration with our neighbour, Windy Hill Fitness Centre. This is especially helpful during late stage rehabilitation, where your exercise routine expands, and is made more effective by the close proximity that our new facility can provide.
