Augustus Gelatery was born out of passion. We noticed a dearth of authentic Italian gelato available in Melbourne’s fringes Our founders who were experienced hospitality managers, set to work establishing a vision to bring happiness, quality and flavor to the new communities.

With new and innovative concepts to open gelato shops out of Melbourne’s inner city and are housed in a contemporary design, architecturally-designed space with unique and striking fittings for stores, vibrant colours and tasty flavours.

Our manufacturing processes are labor intensive, resulting in authentic, artisanal Italian gelato that has classic aeration, texture and traditional flavor, every time. We do not use large scale machines. We only make single batches of handmade gelato that feature our distinctive wave design. We prefer to support local companies. We mainly procure Australian fruit grown in Queensland. We make use of fresh milk whenever possible we utilize ingredients in their purest in their most natural form. DELICIOUS! !

Being in a store is an amazing experience. Each store employs 20 employees on average and includes Store Managers and Supervisors. We select our managers because of their fun-loving and positive attitude. They’re naturally leaders, which is why they’re able to run the store, carry out the instruction on our extensive procedures and processes, as well as work together with the store’s owner in bringing on their team. We give our Store Managers the chance to avail from the Augustus Gelatery community. They can meet up with each other as they swap stories and exchange the knowledge they have gained.

MILK SHAKES
